Artists Statement
I have always drawn inspiration from the city and its ability to transform and invent itself. Objects of the past exist simultaneously with objects of the present (and future). Architects and artists must also contend with this duality and this dynamic theme has been the focus of my work.  I try through my work to identify with the building process conceptually expressed as a direct result of ones experience at a specific time, site and place; in effect, a narrative of a series of events and conditions.Â
I use linear and planar elements abstracted and manipulated from my own photographs, to explore concurrent architectural themes of scale, spatiality, order and process.
My work acts as a personal record of events and professional experience as an architecture graduate in Hong Kong, London and New York, however, it was my architectural education and my early professional experience in Asia which has had the greatest formative affect on my work.
